Booking a tattoo with us

Welcome to E.T.O. Tattoo Studio, located at 4-7030 Glacier Street in Powell River. Our cozy studio is home to two talented resident artists and guest artists who bring their unique styles and creativity to our space.

At E.T.O. we strive to create a warm and inviting atmosphere while delivering tattoo work that our clients will cherish for a lifetime. We’d like to take a moment to outline our process below.

Tattoo Booking Process

Email/Phone us with your idea

Email or phone us to set up an in person or virtual consultation with the artist of your choosing. Prepare for your consultation by collecting any reference material you want to show your artist- if you have a specific vision for content or style it is always a good idea to collect references of tattoos you love or anything that might inspire the composition or subject matter of your piece. If you are traveling from out of town please email us your references to etotattoos@gmail.com before your consultation.

** We encourage all clients to have an consultation before their tattoo, although there are some cases where the intended work is very straight forward (text, symbols, etc)- if that is the case please let us know and we can book you in directly.

Consultation

At your consultation you will sit down with your artist and mock up your idea on an ipad; your artist will compile your references and take a photo of the body part intended for the tattoo.  They will answer any questions concerning size, budget, project timeline, or anything else you might want to know.  You are welcome to multiple consultations; we are more than happy to spend the time to flesh out your ideas and make sure you are completely comfortable before proceeding with your piece.

Our consultations are collaborative, we look forward to hearing your ideas and will respond with suggestions, ask questions, and provide options.  With a consultation you and your artist will nail down a concrete and transparent plan for your tattoo- you are welcome to have multiple consultations to get to that point-  but please note that the final consultation is what you can expect to be drawn for you on the day of your appointment and is what your deposit is attached to.

**Booking timelines vary widely by artist and project size.  Call us to ask specifically, or if your schedule is flexible to inquire about our waitlist.

Deposit/Artwork

Your appointment is booked and we ask for a deposit to confirm your appointment. The deposit is non refundable and falls between $150-$250 depending on the project size.  Your deposit comes off the price of your tattoo.  In the case of long term projects, your deposit will come off the final session of your tattoo. 

Your artist will create your drawing, if you’d like to see the drawing in advance of your appointment it will be available at ETO the Sunday of the week of your tattoo. (We work Sunday-Wednesday and draw Thurs,Fri,Sat) If your appointment is Sunday, tell your artist you’d like to see it in advance and we will make arrangements.

Your tattoo day & aftercare

To make the best of your tattoo day please ensure you get a good night’s sleep, are hydrated, and have a good meal before coming in for your tattoo. Those in for a long session may choose to pack snacks with them to stay fuelled throughout the day. Please note we do not use numbing cream in the studio, one of our artists has a severe allergy. The length of your session and specifics for the day will be discussed with you in your consultation. :). Feel free to bring headphones, an ipad, book or anything else you might like to have with you including a friend.

Aftercare!  Familiarize yourself with our aftercare page - taking good care of your piece while its healing is incredibly important.  Please note that all tattoos include a touch up within the first 6 months of completion.

    With over a decade of experience, Alex has honed her craft and developed a distinctive style influenced by the illustrative approach to tattooing. Specializing in both black and grey as well as color tattoos, she finds joy in the versatility of her work. Holding a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from SCAD HK, Alex brings a unique blend of artistic training and practical skill to every tattoo she creates.

    Meet Lucy Price, a skilled tattoo artist originating from Newcastle, England. Lucy draws inspiration from her graffiti background to create vibrant and dynamic tattoo styles. Lucy's dedication to her artistry has been recognized with multiple accolades from The Canadian Federation of Artists.
